Model comp card: what it is and what to include

A comp card (composite card) is a model's business card: a few strong images plus the details a client needs to book.

What it is for

Clients and casting directors see many models a day. A comp card lets them remember you and check quickly that you fit the job. Agencies send them digitally and sometimes in print at castings.

Front

  • One strong headshot or beauty image.
  • Your first name (or model name).
  • The agency name and logo.

Back

  • Three to five images showing range: full length, a commercial smile, an editorial look.
  • Measurements: height, bust or chest, waist, hips, shoe size, hair and eye colour.
  • Agency contact details, never your personal phone or address.

Keep it current

Update your comp card when your hair, look or measurements change. Clients book from what they see, so an old card can cost you a job.

Comp card vs portfolio

Your portfolio (book) is the full collection of your best work. The comp card is the short version. New models usually build both with their agency from test shoots and digitals.
